Paper submission

The submission deadline for the first draft has been extended to 24th August 2018

The conference proceedings will be formally published as a dedicated volume. Each conference paper will be allocated with a DOI, and we will send the proceedings to be included in the Conference Proceedings Citation Index-Science (CPCI-S). Details regarding paper submission and template documents are given below.

All papers will be reviewed by two independent referees, who will assess the paper for its technical and scientific quality, originality, standard of English, general presentation and relevance to the subject of the conference. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Authors are expected to present their papers in the conference technical sessions. Please kindly let us know as soon as possible if the oral presentation is not possible. Authors of selected papers will also be invited to extend their contribution for publication in special issues in Journal of Hydrodynamics (Springer) and Soils and Foundations (Elsevier).

Please be aware that each accepted paper needs at least one registration. The student delegate needs to present a valid full-time student identification card at the registration desk for badge pickup. We also welcome delegates who do not submit papers, provided that registration is made.

Guide for authors

Both the first draft and the final contribution need to be prepared by following the MPM2019 template provided below. A typical final contribution consists of 3-8 pages, including figures, tables and references. The length of the first draft is flexible, but is normally between 1 and 5 pages.

Authors are encouraged to prepare their manuscripts using the Word template which is available to download here:

Do not make any changes to the structure of the template as this can lead to production errors.

In case of any questions regarding the preparation of the manuscript please first consult the MPM 2019 template.
